Piltown AFC are delighted to have been chosen winners of the Kilkenny County award in this year’s Texaco Support for Sport initiative. EUR5,000 was presented to the club to fit out our brand new female dressing rooms.

Established seventy five years ago, Piltown AFC currently has 500 players from our academy all the way up to our adult teams. The club currently has seven schoolgirls’ teams participating in leagues and 135 girls playing in total, of which 60 are in the academy section.

Our underage girls have grown in numbers over recent years and we are going from strength to strength, we would like to thank Texaco for this award. We would also like to thank Michael Walsh of Walsh's Texaco Thomastown for his generosity and hospitality on the day.
